I wanted to express my sorrow at the passing of Octavia Butler this past Saturday after a fall in front of her home. I will miss her and the stories she told greatly.

She will be truely missed. I can't believe she's gone. She lived so close to me here in Seattle and I didn't even know. This is going to take awile to process.

Wed, March 8, 2006 - 6:30 PMI was suprised at how sad I felt after reading about Octavia's death. I've never had a "favorite artist" of any type die before, and it took me off guard. I posted about her passing on my blog at www.chlotrudis.org/colford/.
